Contrast (Color Mark) Detection

Contrast sensors are used to detect registration marks on various media.  This is accomplished by selecting the light source color so that there is a large difference in contrast between the media color and the mark color.  Typical application for contrast sensing is registration mark detection before cutting or converting paper in the packaging industry.
